About this tool
What does it convert?
Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin with correct offsets (not just scaling) — plus cooking, weather and science reference points — instantly both ways.
How to use it
- Enter a value in any scale; all equivalents appear.
- Use cooking presets for oven settings across regions.
- Copy exact figures for docs and labels.
Examples
- 180°C fan oven ≈ 356°F (US recipes say 350°F — rounding is normal).
- −40° is where Celsius meets Fahrenheit.
- Room temperature 20°C = 293.15 K for science.
Important limitations
- Conversions are exact math; sensor accuracy is a separate matter.
- Cooking conversions round to usable oven steps — precision beyond 5° is false.
- Below absolute zero (−273.15°C) is unphysical — inputs clamp.

Frequently asked questions
Quick °F→°C estimate?
Subtract 30, halve: 80°F → ~25°C (actual 26.7). Good enough for weather.
Why 273.15?
Kelvin starts at absolute zero; the offset is exact by definition.
Oven says 350, recipe 180?
Same heat within thermostat tolerance — trust either.
