About this tool
What does it do?
It transforms readable strings into harder-to-grep forms (reversal, char codes, splitting, encoding layers) for demo code, easter eggs and casual hiding — explicitly NOT security.
How to use it
- Enter strings and pick transform layers.
- Copy the decoder snippet alongside.
- Use for fun and demos, never for protection.
Examples
- Hiding an easter-egg message in a demo page.
- Keeping API endpoints out of casual view-source.
- Puzzle and CTF challenge building.
Important limitations
- Obfuscation ≠ encryption: determined readers reverse it in minutes.
- Never protect secrets, keys or endpoints this way — use real auth.
- Over-obfuscation hurts your own debugging more than attackers.
Privacy
Local transforms. Do not feed real secrets — obfuscated or not, they do not belong in client code.
Frequently asked questions
Is this secure?
No. It deters glances, nothing more.
When is it appropriate?
Demos, puzzles, spoilers — never credentials or access control.
Better alternative?
Proper secrets management: vaults, env vars, short-lived tokens.
