About this tool
What does it do?
It serializes JSON objects into XML elements with configurable root names and attribute handling — for legacy SOAP services, sitemaps, RSS and enterprise integrations that still speak XML.
How to use it
- Paste JSON and set the root element name.
- Choose how attributes vs child elements are emitted.
- Copy the pretty or compact XML.
Examples
- Feeding a JSON API response into an XML-only ERP import.
- Generating an RSS item list from JSON data.
- Building SOAP envelopes from JSON-shaped business objects.
Important limitations
- JSON↔XML is lossy by nature: attributes, namespaces and mixed content have no JSON equivalent.
- Arrays need a wrapper convention — agree it with the consumer first.
- Always validate against the target XSD when one exists.
Privacy
Local serialization. Business payloads stay on your device.
Frequently asked questions
Attributes or elements?
Follow the consumer’s schema; when free, elements are simpler and more extensible.
What about namespaces?
Declared per agreement with the receiver — converters emit plain elements by default.
Round-trip safe?
Only with a fixed, documented convention on both sides.
