About this tool
What does it encode?
Wi-Fi credentials in the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:network;P:password;; format. Guests scan once and join — no dictation, no typos, no sticky notes with the password.
How to use it
- Enter SSID, security type and password exactly as configured.
- Download and print the code for the fridge, reception or café table.
- Test-scan with two different phones before laminating.
Examples
- Guest network at home or the office lobby.
- Café tables and hotel rooms.
- Event venues with rotating daily passwords.
Important limitations
- Anyone holding the printout joins your network — use a segregated guest SSID, not your main one.
- Hidden SSIDs and enterprise (EAP) auth need manual setup; QR helps less there.
- Very long passwords shrink module size — keep guest passwords reasonable.
Privacy
Generated locally. Your Wi-Fi password never travels anywhere — which is the entire point. Rotate it if a printout goes missing.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes — both cameras parse Wi-Fi QR natively since ~2018-era OS versions.
WPA2 or WPA3 setting?
Match your router exactly; a mismatch silently fails to connect.
Can I use it for hidden networks?
Scanning still works on most phones, but some require manual SSID entry anyway.
